This page covers both full account deletion and partial data deletion. Pick the option that matches what you need:

Reset learning progress (XP, streak, vocab SRS, game scores) — open the app, Settings → Reset. Takes effect immediately, no email needed.
Remove my Google account link (deletes email + display name we have for you) — Settings → Sign out. Account stays as anonymous, cloud data remains; use email path below to also delete cloud data.
Delete specific data types only (e.g. just cloud progress but keep login) — email us with details (see step 2 below).

1. How to Request Deletion
Send us an email to request deletion.
We don't yet offer an in-app delete button (planned for v1.0.1). Until then, email is the official channel.
The Google account email you used to sign in (if you enabled Cloud Sync), or
If you never signed in (anonymous user only), tell us the approximate date of your first app use and the device you used. We will use this to help identify your anonymous Firebase ID — but note that for fully anonymous users, the only way to delete your data is to also uninstall the app, since the anonymous ID is tied to your device.
We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete deletion within 14 days (GDPR Art. 17 / Art. 12.3 timeline).
You will receive a final confirmation email when deletion is complete.
Self-service options (no email required)
Reset all local progress: Open Hangul Sori → Settings → Reset. This wipes XP, streak, vocab SRS state, and game scores stored on your device.
Sign out of Google: Settings → Sign out. Your account reverts to anonymous; the Google linkage is removed. (This does not delete your Firestore data — use the email path for full deletion.)
Uninstall the app: This removes all on-device data, but anonymous Firebase ID and Crashlytics/Analytics data remain server-side until they auto-expire (see retention table below).

Wir versuchen damit, Ihre anonyme Firebase-ID zuzuordnen — bei vollständig anonymer Nutzung ist die einzige sichere Löschmethode allerdings die Deinstallation der App, da die anonyme ID an Ihr Gerät gebunden ist.
Eingangsbestätigung innerhalb von 3 Werktagen, Löschung abgeschlossen innerhalb von 14 Tagen (Frist gemäß Art. 12 Abs. 3 DSGVO).
Sie erhalten eine abschließende Bestätigungs-E-Mail, sobald die Löschung in allen Systemen vollständig ist.
Selbstbedienungs-Optionen (ohne E-Mail)
Lokalen Lernfortschritt zurücksetzen: Hangul Sori öffnen → Einstellungen → Zurücksetzen. Löscht XP, Streak, Vokabel-SRS-Status und Spielergebnisse, die auf Ihrem Gerät gespeichert sind.
Aus Google-Konto ausloggen: Einstellungen → Abmelden. Ihr Konto wird wieder anonym, die Google-Verknüpfung entfernt. (Die Firestore-Cloud-Daten bleiben — für vollständige Löschung E-Mail verwenden.)
App deinstallieren: Entfernt alle Daten auf dem Gerät. Anonyme Firebase-ID und Crashlytics/Analytics-Daten bleiben serverseitig bis zum automatischen Ablauf (siehe Aufbewahrungstabelle unten).
Verständnis von Nutzungsmustern. Einzelne Datensätze sind nach Löschung Ihrer Firebase-UID nicht mehr Ihnen zuordenbar.
Automatische Löschung nach 14 Monaten (Firebase-Standard)
Anonymisierte Zahlungsdatensätze, falls vorhanden (in v1.0.0 keine Zahlungen)
HGB §257 verlangt 10-jährige Aufbewahrung von Finanzdatensätzen.
Nicht anwendbar — keine Zahlungsdaten erhoben.

3 Jahre, dann gelöscht.
Sobald Ihre Firebase-UID gelöscht ist, lassen sich verbleibende Analytics- oder Crash-Datensätze nicht mehr auf Sie zurückführen — sie werden statistisch anonym.
